The sixth winner of RAW Contest 2019

We are happy to show you the sixth photographer from the Netherlands Lida Houkes (@lida_houkes_whateyesee)! Her work on the theme "City Geometry" got the most votes.

Now she was featured at RAW Streetphoto Gallery, will participate in Rotterdam Photo Festival February 2020.

There is her story about winning photograph:

"In July we went to Liège for a city-trip with friends. Our hotel was in the neighborhood of the train-station Guillemins (designed by Calatrava).

One morning I rose early to go out on my own to take pictures of this beautiful station. Outside the station are these huge arcades.

I was taking photos when a girl came out of one of the doors, locked it and walked away. So I took several shots of her.

Despite it is a very modern scenery (the arcades and a young girl with long hair and long skirt) it somehow resembles a kind of old monastery with a little nun… ;)"
